National Manufacturing Day 2026
in Partnership with Make UK

September 2026

We were proud to take part in this year’s National Manufacturing Day, an event from Make UK and sponsored by Barclays, where we welcomed students from a local school for a behind-the-scenes experience at our Coventry factory.

We were also delighted to see Jonathan Duck recognised in the Make UK 130 Honours. Created to mark Make UK’s 130th anniversary and supported by Barclays Corporate Banking, the initiative celebrates individuals and organisations helping to shape the future of UK manufacturing. The recognition was presented by representatives from Barclays Corporate Banking during the day’s activities at our Coventry factory.

Ian Reynolds, Industry Director, Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics, at Barclays; Jonathan Duck, CEO, at Amtico; Richard Tyacke – Relationship Director, Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics, at Barclays.

National Manufacturing Day celebrates the diverse careers available in manufacturing. At Amtico, that talent can be found across the business, from the factory floor and engineering workshops to design studios, technology teams, finance and operations. Days like this give young people the opportunity to discover those career paths and see the possibilities first-hand.

Throughout the day, students heard from colleagues across the business, from directors to marketing and design interns, as well as our manufacturing apprentices, gaining insight into a variety of roles and career journeys. They also experienced our production processes first-hand, got hands-on with LVT, and used CAD plans to create their own coaster designs.

Thank you to the students and teachers who joined us, and to everyone across Amtico who helped make the day a success. We hope the collective effort has helped to inspire the next generation of talent in manufacturing.
