Our Rural Nest Transforms a Home Study with Amtico

A Workspace Designed for Everyday Living
It’s safe to say Danielle has built quite the following for her quietly stylish take on country home interiors. For this next transformation, she wanted to create a workspace that felt considered, comfortable and in keeping with the rest of her home.
Comfort from the Ground Up
The room had previously been fitted with carpet, but Danielle was looking for home office flooring that could bring more warmth, light and ease to the scheme. Having already chosen the brand for her hallway and family bathroom, Danielle knew the benefits of Amtico LVT first-hand.
The Warmth of Shell Oak
For her work-from-home space, Danielle chose Shell Oak from the Amtico Form collection, laid in a Small Parquet pattern. She built the look around a soft, layered palette, pairing earthy green walls and timeless country details with the pale oak tones of the floor. This balance of colour, texture and pattern helped create a room that feels light and open, while still sitting naturally within the rest of her home.
The Small Parquet laying pattern also played an important role in the overall design. Its traditional feel brings depth and detail to the scheme, while Shell Oak’s sandy tone and subtle grain add the warmth and softness Danielle wanted for a room used throughout the working day.
“In my experience, the flooring choice has a huge influence on how a space feels, both practically and aesthetically. So, I knew I wanted a floor that was hardwearing, easy-to-clean and attractive but also comfortable underfoot. Our Amtico flooring has added so much character to our study. It has given us all of the benefits of a wooden floor, but without the associated maintenance.”
